OHP-Total Worker Health® & Diversity

The Occupational Health Psychology (OHP) Total Worker Health (TWH) Program, like all of Portland State University, is committed to increasing and maintaining a diverse student and faculty base with respect to all aspects of identity including but not limited to race/ethnicity, gender and gender identity/expression, nationality, mental and physical (dis)ability, religious expression, sexual orientation, veteran status, skin color, body size/type, or political affiliation. To that end, the OHP-TWH program follows, at a minimum, the same diversity-related guidelines as other university programs, as mandated by Portland State University Office of Diversity and Equity (for more information, see the following links to specific Portland State University diversity-related resources).

In line with this commitment, we particularly encourage diverse individuals to apply and to feel comfortable expressing their relevant identities.

In addition, the faculty recognize that diversity and inclusion are integral aspects of well-being in the workplace and include this as part of their ongoing research agendas. Indeed, the notion of TWH includes work that is free from stereotyping, prejudice, or discrimination and our work places a particular emphasis on authentic identity expression as an important aspect of employee thriving.
