Understanding the viewpoints of a broad range of stakeholders is critical to implementing meaningful policy changes surrounding microplastics. The goal of the survey portion of this project is to identify the familiarity, interests, and concerns about microplastics of relevant groups within the Columbia River Basin area. We aim to survey members of Tribes and First Nations, the seafood industry, state level regulators, municipal sanitation and water providers, environmental groups and community members, and multiple levels of educators. The responses from this survey will be used to organize the final workshop portion of this project and tailor its content to address the unique concerns and interests of these stakeholders.
