Course Description

We taught a 4-week course geared towards educational professionals that will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the global plastic pollution problem. We covered the plastic lifecycle and production, the global environmental plastic cycle, known sources to the environment and uncertainties, the physical and biological consequences of plastic in the environment, as well as sample processing and analysis.

The latter included a 1-day mandatory in-person field and laboratory component. Each student was responsible for developing curricula based on the materials provided.
