Tactile Map

The PDF file found here can be printed on swell paper and run through a heater or embossed on a tactile embosser to create a tactile map.

  • Swell Paper: Print map onto swell paper using ink that contains carbon (a copy machine works well), write labels onto key using non-carbon ink (a sharpie works well), braille labels over print (a Perkins works well ), run graphic through heater designed for swell paper (e.g., ZY Fuse machine)

  • Embossing: PDF file can be printed directly to a graphics embosser (e.g., ViewPlus). Add key labels by hand after embossing.
