Douglas C. Wilson

National Park Service, Archaeologist

Douglas C. Wilson, Ph.D serves as a National Park Service archaeologist in the National Register and Partnerships Program. Through a partnership with Portland State University, he integrates undergraduate and graduate students with professional archaeologists, volunteers and National Park Service staff to conduct scientific and historical research while interpreting National Park Service and National Register sites to the public in new and interesting ways. He has written many articles and book chapters in diverse publications including American Antiquity, Columbia Magazine, the Federalist, Historical Archaeology, Journal of Archaeological Method and Theory, and the Journal of Community Archaeology & Heritage. With Theresa Langford, he wrote Exploring Fort Vancouver (2011).
