The peer-review starts at 12 pm (noon) on Wednesday during the final exam week and ends by midnight Friday that week. Students are required to log on to PSU ArcGIS Online (https://pdxedu.maps.arcgis.com/) and complete the peer-review of the story maps created by other groups.
Logon to https://pdxedu.maps.arcgis.com/ with your PSU ODIN account. If you don't have a PSU ODIN account, then you won't be able to comment on the story map.
Select Groups and click on "GIS II [Term] [Year] - Story Maps" group (or search for it if you are a member of many groups).
Select group's Content and click on "View All Group Content." You should see a list of Story Maps ordered by their group numbers.
Right-click on the story map's title and select "Open Link in New Tab" to open the intro page of the story map. You should see the Comments section at the bottom of the page. This is where you submit your review comments.
Click on the View Application button to open and view the story map. Close the story map and the intro page after you complete the review. If you suspect that a story map is not loaded correctly, then please refresh the web browser to reload the story map.
Repeat the process for the story maps created by other students in this class.
Name your Story Map by adding a prefix of ".XX_" (XX is your two digits project number and put a "dot" in front of the number). For example, if your project's number is 4, then your story map name is ".04_whatever-your-original-story-map-name-is". The instructor will post your project number in Week 8.
Share your story map with "GIS II [Term] [Year] - Story Maps" group.
Verify that your story map is publicly available by copying the shared URL and viewing it in a separate browser or incognito window.
During review period, all students perform the review remotely on your own computer. Please log on to PSU ArcGIS Online and find the class' final project story map group, e.g., GIS II Spring 2025 - Story Maps. You can list the story maps in the group by viewing the Content of the group and setting the Item Type to "Apps/StoryMaps". Every student will review and provide comments on at least five (the more the better) other students' Story Maps by assigning a rating (1 to 5 stars) for the Story Map and answering the following questions in the ArcGIS Online Comments text box:
I found the story: 1) interesting, 2) somewhat interesting, or 3) not very interesting.
The strength of the story is: ...
