Interactive media is designed to facilitate active and creative learning by supporting children to control the medium and outcomes of the experience while encouraging children to discuss their digital actions and make real-life connections. We recognize that early childhood educators explore different forms of digital engagement with young children.
Children are naturally curious beings that actively seek to understand the world around them. With the help of digital learning tools, educators and guardians can increase opportunities for curious thinking. While supporting children to be autonomous in their thinking processes, interactive media can be used to support playful, curious interests and encourage children to be active explorers. Here are some questions to consider when using interactive technologies.
