Lab Rules

Any person who enters or uses an ECE Department lab is expected to follow these rules:

Food and Drinks Policy

• FAB 60-01 Tektronix Circuit Design & Testing Lab

  • Only drinks in approved containers are allowed in the lab.

  • Look at the sign at the lab entrance for a list of acceptable containers.

  • Leave all food and unapproved drinks on the tables located outside the lab.

• FAB 60-04 Capstone & Digital Systems Lab and FAB 60-08 EMAG Lab

  • Do NOT consume food or drinks in these labs!

  • Leave all food and drinks on the tables located outside the lab.

• Other ECE Labs

  • Always ask the lab "owner" for the official food and drinks policy of that lab.

  • If in doubt, do not eat or drink in the lab.

Other Rules

• Do not move or remove lab equipment or computers.

• Do not disconnect or rearrange cables - they are set up that way for a good reason.

• Do not "borrow" equipment from another bench or lab.

• Do not play loud audio in the lab.

• Do not put your backpack on the table.

• Clean up your bench after you are done.

• Put waste material in the trash container or recycling bin.

• Be respectful of other people who are sharing the lab.

Failure to comply with these rules may result in the loss of your computer account or badge access to the lab.
