FAB 60-01, 60-04, 60-06 (ECE labs)
Access: 24/7 with key card
The MCECS Intel computer labs are open to all engineering students and contain Windows computers, Linux workstations, document scanners, and laser printers. Access to computers in the various ECE labs is restricted to students taking ECE courses.
Software
A variety of productivity and engineering packages are offered in the MCECS computer labs, including Microsoft Office, Cadence PCB tools, Keysight ADS, LabView, MATLAB, Mathcad, GNU GCC, Python, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Arduino IDE. Computers in ECE labs will also have field-specific software, such as LT Spice, QuestaSim, Xilinx Vivado, Code Composer Studio, and EagleCAD.
Dedicated Linux servers provide remote access to VLSI simulation and design software from Cadence, Mentor Graphics, and Synopsys.
Access
To log into computers that are connected to the MCECS network, you need a valid MCECS computer account.
The organization known as “TheCAT” (Computer Action Team) provides IT support for the engineering college. If you need a new MCECS computer account, or require help on a supported software issue, or want to report a problem with your account or a lab computer, then contact them first.
