We are sharing our research through experiential workshops focusing on making and using Arctic ceramics. We share some aspects of analysis and workshops with the public through short videos shared on platforms such as tiktok and instagram, as well as the Archaeology Roadshow website.

Invited to Igiugig culture camp to share ancestral ceramic techniques to school children and adults
Experimenting together on how to construct vessels, particularly clay lamps, and how to carry out a pit firing
Talked with Elders about clay sources and uses, identified local clay and used it for workshop
Bering Strait Archaeology Camp, 2019 (Nome, Alaska)
Sharing how to create Bering Strait-style clay lamps with local teenagers participating in the archaeology camp

Testing which fuel and wick type burned faster and hotter in the lamps

Collaboration with Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde archaeologists and knowledge-holders to learn about landscape management and food processing
