Amanda Singer, Ed.D.

After 25 years with Portland State University's Conflict Resolution Program, Amanda Singer, EdD (she/her/hers) has joined Portland State University's School of Music & Theater, in the College of the Arts, as an Associate Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies. As part of a new interdisciplinary undergraduate program in Social Justice and the Arts, Dr. Singer’s teaching and research interests continue to focus on bridging divides through deliberative dialogue, engaging storytelling for social change, centering the arts as dynamic peace-building practice, recognizing artists as citizens, and cultivating imagination to possibilize a welcoming future.
