Using transit is the easiest way to arrive at Portland State University. The PSU campus is a hub of bus, light rail, and streetcar lines that get you here from any part of the city.
The closest Max stop is: PSU Urban Center/SW 5th & Mill MAX Station (two blocks south of Smith Memorial Student Union)
The closest Trolley Stop is: PSU Urban Center (one block south and one block east of Smith Memorial Student Union)

We offer several visitor parking options on campus. Hourly pay-by-plate parking is available to any guest, student, or employee of the University.
Payment is required all hours, all days, except for official university holidays. Self-service pay stations do not provide change. Hourly & Visitor Parking Map (PDF).
The easiest parking garage to access (and always has parking) is Parking Structure 1. It is approximately 1 block east of the Smith Memorial Student Union.
There is 5 hour street parking around Parking Structure 3.
To pay for parking on campus, please visit the parking Kiosk in Parking Structure 1 or 3. You can also use Parking Kitty (see below)
Parking Kitty
Portland State University is working with the City of Portland to offer Parking Kitty as an hourly and daily payment option in all PSU hourly and daily parking spaces. Please look for the Parking Kitty Logo in our lots and structures and give it a go!
