The EAS provides advice to employees on a range of issues including: wellbeing, legal, financial, bereavement, conflict and mediation. The EAS also provides advice and support to managers and delivers interventions to help them deal with health and wellbeing issues in the workplace.

The Wellbeing Policy Statement and Framework for Practice was first published in 2018 and revised in 2019. It provides a definition of wellbeing and an overarching structure encompassing the existing, ongoing and developing work in the area of wellbeing in education. It is informed by international research and practice and the many relevant policies and guidelines already available to schools and centres for education.
