The Weekly:

Priorities & Information

Key Information June 24 - June 28

Teachers, please post this to your VLE:

All student lockers should be cleaned out already. If there are students who have not done this, they can do it on the day they have a final evaluation or June 28th. Locks should be left on the locker. Items left in lockers will be removed and donated. Students are not permitted to come to school just to clean out their locker except June 28 from 8:10am - 10:25am.

The Graduation Ceremony is such an exciting day for grade 12 students! They look forward to seeing the CPSS staff supporting them as they walk across the stage for their final moments as CPSS students! Please join us at The Embassy Grand, 8800 The Gore Rd, Brampton. If you can’t attend, please let me know. If you are unable to attend the school building (8:10am - 2:39pm) or the Commencement Ceremony at The Embassy Grand, please put your absence into Smart Find.

Period 1: 8:10 - 8:40

Period 2: 8:45 - 9:15

Period 3: 9:20 - 9:50

Period 4: 9:55 - 10:25

Teachers, please note that the office receives many inquiries after final evaluation reviews. These inquiries will be forwarded to the classroom teacher as we do not have the information that parents request. We recognize this can be tricky on the final day of school.

Please ensure that you can be reached and are available until the end of the day.

**It is a good practice for teachers to provide students with their updated term mark going into final evaluations. Caregivers of students who may not pass the course should be contacted prior to the final evaluation period. This is aligned with CPSS practices. The purpose of final evaluations is not meant to negatively impact students’ marks, rather it is to provide an opportunity for students to show their cumulative/overall learning.

Reminder: Students Use of Digital Tools must be sent home to parents/caregivers

At the Peel District School Board, we support our educators in using a variety of web-based digital tools that allow educators, students and families to interact and collaborate in online environments. Using Modern Learning tools is an essential component of teaching and learning in today’s world. Included in the October Camera Ready Article package, you will find the “Students Use of Digital Tools”. It is a MANDATORY  requirement for schools to send this information home to students and families.

Heritage Month Celebrations

At CPSS this year we are excited to participate in Heritage Month celebration. Heritage Months are opportunities to create environments that foster inclusion, celebrate culture, contributions, and diversity as well as nurture understanding.
