Netiquette is short for internet etiquette.

It is a guideline for respectful behaviour online. It applies to emails, social media, instant messaging, and discussion forums. 

1. Respect each others' privacy. 

• • Don't post personal information or pictures. Ask for permission! 👤

2. Use salutations and end with your signature. 👋

• • Hello, Mr. Rago!

  • See you later. - V.R.

3. Review what you wrote.

• • Is it kind?

  • Does it say what you're trying to say?

  • Can it be misinterpreted? 👀

4. Do not type in ALL CAPS.

• • IT'S NOT NICE. 😭

5. Proofread and edit before posting. 😅

• 1. No, seriously. Go back and reread what you wrote.

6. Use emoticons. 

• • They help convey your mood, which can sometimes get lost when you text. 😳

7. Do not spam other users. 🙄

• • No, you're not going to make $10 000 in one month staying home. 

  • Yes, we heard you the first time. 

8. Respectfully contribute your thoughts to the discussion. 👍

• • Understand and acknowledge another person's point of view, whether you agree or disagree.

  • People like to feel heard.

9. Follow the rules. 😁

• • You should probably reread these, just in case...

10. Forgive and forget.
