My Journey to the Moon: Year 1969

I was working at NASA, when they were about to tell who would be chosen to go on the first ever mission to the moon. I was excited, yet so nervous. If I were to be chosen, I would be the first few people to step onto the rocky surface of what we call the Moon. On the other hand, if something went wrong, I would lose my life and my family. But, I had no choice, it was NASA’s. They had announced who would be on this historical mission. It was me and my co-workers who were selected for this legendary mission.

I had tons of mixed feelings, but it was time to end the space-race. While the rocket was in flight, I was amazed to see Earth, the Sun, and many stars. It was so cool. When I saw the Moon, I was so excited to step foot on it. As soon as I stepped foot on the moon, I was literally "over the moon." We discovered tons of stuff, like how stuff falls at the same speed when dropped. We also learned that our weight changes on the moon. We really enjoyed our experience on the moon.
