Pathways Planning
Your time at PAS is about the journey through high school AND about the destination after high school. We'll try to help you make sense of it all to ensure the path you take suits you now and helps you develop and fulfill your educational and career goals to take you into your future!
Don't forget to check out our Pathways page, to consider where you're headed and ensure you plan ahead (with our help) to take courses that meet admission requirements for post-secondary education.
eLearning offerings are also available to PAS students during the regular school year through the Ontario eLearning Consortium. This document answers some questions you may have.
It is important to note that while a recent 2 credit online learning graduation requirement has been added for students, it is possible to opt-out in writing. Ask your Guidance Teacher for the form if this is your preference.
Students may also have the opportunity to try eLearning in summer school.
Ask us about Co-operative Education (Co-op), the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP), Dual Credit and Multi-Credit Experiential courses (MCE's) at PAS. Link to the PDSB website information about PLAR if you want to challenge for a credit based on prior learning.
Did you know you must complete 40 hours of volunteer work to graduate?
Check out all of the information and opportunities on our volunteer page!
Successful completion of the Literacy requirement is another component of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) For information on the OSSLT and other EQAO testing, please see the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test and EQAO website
There are a variety of ways to complete the 30 credits, 40 hours and literacy requirement necessary to graduate. Plan ahead - we're here to help guide you.
