Applicants are offered space in a Regional Learning Choices Program based on a two-step process:
Once a student applies, there will be a review of their Grade 4 report card, their Grade 5 Progress Report and Term 1 Report Card as well as any other requirements that the RLCP school has asked for during the application process. If a student meets the application criteria, they will move on to the second step in the process.
In the second step, if the student meets the application criteria, their application will be entered into the random selection process for each program. In the random selection process, a computer will randomly assign a number to each applicant who has successfully met the application criteria for each program and spaces for the programs will be offered.
For new Grade 5 students who have recently moved to Peel, within the application procedures, you must upload copies of your Grade 4 final report card
Once all available spaces have been offered, the remaining students will be placed on the school's waitlist
IMPORTANT: Students who attend a Regional Learning Choices Program in middle school WILL NOT be automatically accepted into the same program in High School. You must apply in the same way as all other applicants.
