What is GSA?

• GSA is a student-driven club where we discuss issues of injustice, equity and human rights.
• GSA focusses on discussions and social action in support of the LGBTQ+ community.
• ***New this year - we are opening GSA up to more students - Grade 5, 6, 7, 8

What happens at GSA?

• We focus on student interests and questions so each year they change and grow
• Sometimes we read books, articles or do online research
• Sometimes we discuss our feelings or experiences with injustices we see around us
• Sometimes we work on school wide initiatives to bring positive messages to others (Take What You Need displays, Day of Pink, Author Visits, Classroom visits, PRIDE celebrations and more...)

When is GSA?

• GSA - Wednesdays
• 2nd Nutrition Break
• Please bring your lunch

Do I need to come to EVERY meeting?

• No - you come when you are available.
• There will be times we working on events or initiatives that will require a more consistent commitment.

How do I sign up?

Late in September we will have an initial meeting. But you and your friends can sign up throughout the year as well.
