Courses in both the Canadian and World Studies and Social Science and the Humanities curriculums offer students the opportunities to explore both historic and contemporary topics and themes related to identity, culture, human behaviour, social, political and economic structures, systemic oppression and discrimination, social change and civic participation.
Students will learn about diverse topics that represent the experiences of our student body and greater Canadian society.
Students will develop research, critical thinking, media literacy, communication, collaboarative and technical skills.
Students will develop the ability to communicate their learning in a variety of create ways including through podcasts, vlogs, essays, seminars and through GIS mapping.
