Arkansas Educators Rising Dress Code      for all events

Business Casual

 Refer to the guidelines below for a detailed explanation of what is and is not permissible as “business casual."

Slacks, Pants, and Suit Pants

APPROPRIATE: slacks similar to Dockers and other makers of cotton or synthetic material pants, wool pants, flannel pants, dressy capris, and nice-looking dress synthetic pants

NOT ACCEPTED:  jeans, sweatpants, exercise pants, Bermuda shorts, short shorts, bib overalls, leggings, and any spandex or other form-fitting pants 

Skirts, Dresses, and Skirted Suits

APPROPRIATE: casual dresses and skirts (and skirts split at or below the knee). The length of the dress or skirt should be appropriate for public sitting (no more than 1-2 inches above the knee)

NOT ACCEPTED: mini-skirts, sun dresses, and spaghetti-strap dresses (without a covering for the shoulders)

Shirts, Tops, Blouses, and Jackets

APPROPRIATE: dress shirts, sweaters, blouses, and polo shirts. It is encouraged to wear Educators Rising polo shirts

NOT ACCEPTED: tank tops, midriff tops, shirts with offensive words, logos, pictures, cartoons, or slogans, halter-tops, tops with bare shoulders, sweatshirts, and t-shirts (unless worn under another blouse, shirt, jacket, or dress)

Shoes and Footwear

APPROPRIATE: neutral colored athletic or walking shoes, loafers, clogs, boots, flats, dress heels, and leather deck-type shoes

NOT ACCEPTED: flip-flops, slippers (house-shoes), and crocs

Hats and Head Covering

APPROPRIATE: head covers that are required for religious purposes or to honor cultural tradition are allowed

NOT ACCEPTED: hats are not appropriate inside of the building

Arkansas has  6 Regions.  Come and experience what it means to be an educator and how your region is raising up the next generation of educators. You will engage in hands-on activities, attend breakout sessions, meet with students and faculty, and take part in competitions.

Regional Conferences 

Regional Leadership Conferences will include a keynote speaker and leadership breakout sessions. There will NOT be any competitions at Regional Conferences. The dress code for the regional conferences is Business Casual. The cost for the conference is $0 (FREE).  Lunch will be provided. All competitions will be held at the State Conference in April.
