Sylvan Hills Performing Arts Center

“One More Chance” is set in 1977 Central Arkansas and shows a slice of life in a family where two brothers are in love with the same young lady, a mother holds secrets from her past, and a husband fights to keep his family together. What could possibly go wrong in this two-act comedy?  

Forty-eight years later, a family member finds himself embroiled in an officer-involved incident, and a family gathering disintegrates into chaos as a community erupts in protest. Can a young generation lead them to a place of peace? This is the story of “One Last Chance,” a two-act drama co-written with DeAndre Lewis, Mr. Dupins’ former student and current teaching colleague. The sequel is set in 2025 Little Rock. 

Both plays serve as a fundraiser for the department and a celebration of Mr. Dupins’ work in theatre and film. The cast and crew in the show include current students, alumni, and community actors partnering with the theatre department to provide its students a real-world experience in community theatre.

 Performances of “One More Chance” will be held April 24-26, 2025. Performances of “One Last Chance” will be held May 1-3, 2025. These performances will be held at the Sylvan Hills High School Performing Arts Center.

SCHOOL SHOW TICKET PURCHASE - ONLINE 

The first of two spring plays will be showcased next week! Tickets are now on sale. We are using a new method for ticket purchases.  All tickets for the school shows must be purchased online. The process is below.  You can only purchase one ticket for yourself. Students who have been suspended are not able to buy tickets.  

Also, if you are in an AP class that meets during the time of the show, you are not allowed to purchase a ticket for the school show, but are more than welcome to buy one for a night performance or Saturday show.

STEP 1 - Go to the Ticket Website

You can choose which show you are buying a ticket to attend.  Tickets are $7.00 for students and $10.00 for adults (all shows).  There are two shows, and you must purchase a ticket for each show you wish to attend.

• Wednesday, April 23 @ 1:30 p.m. - One More Chance (B Day)

• Wednesday, April 30 @ 1:30 p.m. - One Last Chance (A Day)

​STEP TWO - ENTER YOUR PASSCODE (STUDENT ID)

You will be asked to enter a passcode for your chosen school performance.  Use your school ID as your passcode.  If you can attend, you will be given access to the website to purchase a ticket for the school performance.  If your student ID does not work, you cannot buy a ticket for that show.  You will still be able to purchase a ticket for any of the public performances.  You don't need a passcode to purchase public performance tickets.

STEP THREE - Follow the instructions to buy your ticket. 

IMPORTANT! - Use your school email and name as they appear on school documents.  

Nicknames, pseudonyms, or other variations may prevent a teacher from releasing you to attend the performance if the name you input does not match school records. You are only allowed to purchase one ticket for yourself. We do not take cash at the door, and printed tickets will not be sold in the cafeteria. Teachers will be provided with the names of the students who have purchased tickets to be released from class. However, you'll need to show your ticket and ID at the auditorium door to enter.

 Ticket sales will end at 11:30 a.m. on the day of the show.
