Mrs. Jo Ann Brown

NAMI Mid-Hudson is the local affiliate for Dutchess and Ulster Counties. NAMI - The National Alliance on Mental Illness is the nations's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans and their families affected by mental health conditions (1 in 4 adults and 1 in 5 children).

NAMI Mid-Hudson provides free educational classes, support groups and resources to those who have mental health issues and their families and friends in Dutchess and Ulster Counties.

Mrs. Brown found the NAMI Organization in the 2007 when her loved ones were experiencing mental health issues. NAMI provided her with support, education and HOPE she needed and she found this "lifechanging".

Mrs. Brown is a certified Family-to-Family Teacher, NAMI Basics Teacher, Support Group Facilitator, Ending the Silence Presenter and Program Coordinator for NAMI Mid-Hudson.She is also a Certified Youth and Adult Mental Health First Aid Instructor for the National Council for Behavioral Health.
