Dr. Jeremy E. Stone

Dr. Stone is a clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of emotional, behavioral, and relationship problems in adolescents, adults, couples, and families. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry, Weill Cornell Medical College, at the Westchester Division, NY-Presbyterian Hospital in White Plains, NY, where he founded the Adolescent DBT Program for Self-Injuring Teens and served as its director for 10 years. Dr. Stone received his intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) from the training organization of Dr. Marsha Linehan, the progenitor of DBT. In addition, he trained under Dr. Otto Kernberg in Transference-Focused Psychotherapy (TFP) and has also received training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and in Emotionally Focused Psychotherapy (EFT) for couples and families. Dr. Stone offers treatment in both psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral modalities, depending upon the needs of the patient or family. He is known for his emphasis on listening to patients (and family members) in a nonjudgmental and validating manner, across the range of treatment approaches.
