Wildwood Cultural Center - Mysteries of the Manor Trail Golf Cart Hayride

My name is Heather Kovacic and the currently Office Assistant here at Wildwood Cultural Center, here in Mentor. With everything a little different this year, I am not sure if community service is a must for high schoolers. But if it is, I wanted to pass along an opportunity for high school community service hours. Wildwood Cultural Center has an event coming up at the end of October- Mysteries of the Manor Trail Golf Cart Hayride. We are currently looking for about a dozen individuals to assist us with our event. Dates are October 23rd through the 25th. These individuals will be assigned to an area in the woods where they will man a Haunted Site or even act as a participant in the site. No more then two people are assigned per 12’x12’ site to ensure a safe 6 feet social distance. Time Slots are approximately 4 hours long each day. Participants are encouraged to wear mask as protection, but are not required since it is outdoors and 6 feet social distancing is meant. These are the times and dates listed below. If you are able to extend this information to students please have them contact us for time slots and sign ups. Thanks you so much and look forward to hearing from you.

October 23rd ~ 6:00pm to 10:00pm

October 24th ~ 6:00pm to 6:00pm & 5:30pm-9:30pm

October 25th ~ 1:00pm-5:00pm

Lake Metroparks Halloween Hayrides

Can you believe the fall is almost here? With many of our programs we have had to adjust with that said, Halloween Hayrides has evolved into Halloween Drive Thru. This Drive Thru Event will only require 11 volunteers per night.

2 assistance greeters and 9 technicians

There are no actors, luminary lighters, wagon drivers, or hot chocolate runs; for your safety we will not be supplying any costumes or make-up, hot chocolate or pizza this year. We will have a goodie grab bag.

The 9 Technicians allow the site to have movement. The 2 Greeters pass along instructions.

Halloween Drive Thru Dates: Oct 9,10,11; 15,16,17,18; 22, 23, 24, 25; 29,30, 31 and Nov 1, 2020; 5pm – 10 pm.

Please note these dates include select Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

See the attached flyer to sign up or contact the volunteer office at 440-585-3041 x6419.

Space is limited and will be filled on a first come bases; you must be 16 or older to participate. We realize this will eliminate some, but we are hopeful that you’ll be back next year.
