For students to thrive they need to feel safe and they need to feel secure. Both of which occurs when these is mutual respect from both the teacher and other students in the class. Along with a mutual respect, having a consistent structure allows students to know what to expect. This can also be referred to as guidelines and guardrails. Technology allows the process of consistent structure and respect by giving way to different types of communication and documentation.
