With over twenty-eight years of dedicated experience in teaching and research, my academic journey has been both enriching and transformative. After serving for a decade as the Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, I took on a new responsibility as Dean Academics at PCCOE, Pune in May 2024. Over the past two years, this role has been a valuable learning experience, involving the introduction of new academic initiatives while strengthening existing processes and systems to enhance the quality of education.
I have guided more than 100 undergraduate and postgraduate projects and am currently supervising three Ph.D. research scholars, with one scholar successfully awarded a Ph.D. I have also delivered over 100 guest lectures on a wide range of academic and research topics.
Beyond academics, I am passionate about travelling, as it allows me to explore new places, experience diverse cultures, and gain fresh perspectives that enrich both my personal and professional life.
My PhD Scholar, Ms Varsha Naik successfully defended her PhD thesis on 5th March 2026. Title "Semisupervised learning based Legal Ontology creation from unstructured legal transcripts in English and Marathi"
Paper titled "Integrating AI Ethics and Sustainability through Experiential and Data Driven Curriculum Innovation at PCCOE" published in SCOPUS Q2 Journal, Jan 2026.
