Employment: oppression in the workplace

This lesson plan is focused on the ways oppression shows up in a workplace. This is one of the scenarios in which we can make an easy, clear link between being "liked" and the amount of money in your wallet. A boost or an obstacle here can add up to hundreds of thousand of dollars over a lifetime. How does the wage gap work? Can we try to close it? How long will it take?

These links are the "lecture" that helps you prepare for the in-class work. Work through the links, and answer the prep questions before coming to class.

This worksheet is meant to be worked in groups of 3, so you can help each other think through the difficult parts and learn from each other's perspectives
