Competition: divide and conquer makes us all weak

This lesson plan is focused on the power of coming together, when we're focused on competing, we can't stand in solidarity, so we're much easier to take down. The key is understanding that the BIGGEST power we have is how very many of us there are. Not only are there a LOT of us, but the work we do IS CRUCIAL! We could so without bankers for a good while, but not without the people who collect waste! Let's look at the strategies that are used to keep us afraid of each other and competing for crumbs.

These links are the "lecture" that helps you prepare for the in-class work. Work through the links, and answer the prep questions before coming to class.

This worksheet is meant to be worked in groups of 3, so you can help each other think through the difficult parts and learn from each other's perspectives
