As a part of our strategic plan, we are creating a teaching, learning, and technology innovation hub centered around equity and driven by assessment of student learning outcomes, the unique needs of learners, and our workforce needs. Because we are constantly striving to improve everything we do for our students, innovation is actively found across the college in all areas of our work. 

Learning Technologies & Innovation is developing this Innovation Hub and Techquity Grants program to help identify and support possible innovations that include a student equity focus in our instructional technology toolkit and instructional practices. 

Some possible examples of Innovation Hub Techquity grant projects may include: 

• Access to instructional technology tools or software platforms (e.g. Kahoot!)

• Hardware evaluation

• Piloting new instructional practices or course materials

• Exploration of emergent technology (e.g. virtual, augmented, or mixed reality)

• Evolution of assessment practices 

These projects can support innovation at any level of the institution, from an individual class or course team up through any program, department, division, or subject area of the college.
