In general, all communication with the student prior to the Training Agreement form being completed will be between the Career Specialist and student. All communication with the student after the form is submitted will be with the Experiential Learning Center Staff.
Experiential Learning Office will handle Faculty Training related to Cooperative Education moving forward. If faculty have questions, you can direct them to andrea.salyer@pcc.edu *Experiential Learning Operations Manager for assistance.
If you are unsure about whether something should be handled by the EL Center or Career Services, please reach out to andrea.salyer@pcc.edu and ask.
For a complete list of FAQ's, you can review the following google sheet (internal to career specialists only)
Experiential Learning Center will manage student registration/enrollment and be responsible for communicating with the Employer, Student & Faculty about student's enrollment status.
Career Services staff would still help the student as they normally would. Experiential Learning will take over when a student has completed the form. EX: If a student comes to you 1/2 way through the term to register, assist them as you normally would, direct them to the form to complete.
The Experiential Learning Office will communicate with students after they complete the Training Agreement form in GivePulse, including if they are dropped from a course for non-payment and need to be reregistered for the course.
*Once courses are transitioned to GivePulse, their records will exist there indefinitely.
*For course archiving prior to GivePulse, I propose at the end of this academic year for folks with paper documents → Scan and place into google folder by AY to transfer to EL to archive.
*And for those that already have documents in a google folder, change ownership to the EL office.
Career Services can direct the student back to OISS if there is info still needed on their CPT. Students will be required to upload their CPT to complete the training agreement
