Course Description:
This course emphasizes the skills required to be an effective group counselor. Students will gain basic knowledge of what forms a group, and then learn how to run groups that foster positive interactions. Students will learn the different types of groups but practice the facilitation of psychoeducational groups.
Attendance Policy:
This course has a firm policy that enforces a maximum of 2 missed classes for the entire term AND no more than 1 absence in the first 6 weeks. In the case that you are absent, communicate before class starts that you won't be there and have another student take notes for you. There is a make-up assignment.
