Code Red Information – Cooling Centers
A Code Red Advisory will be in effect on July 15 and 16, 2025. Additional dates may be announced.
A Code Red Heat Advisory is issued when extreme heat poses a serious risk to your health – especially for older adults, children, and people with medical conditions.
If you are an older adult without transportation to a cooling center, call SeniorLine during business hours to get connected to help: 412-350-5460. Outside of business hours, call 2-1-1, or in an emergency, 9-1-1. When our senior centers are acting as cooling centers, they welcome residents of any age.
