Baseline Assessment
The Baseline Assessment in the Municipality of Himamaylan presents a comprehensive analysis of the beneficiaries' demographics, baseline data, and learning outcomes. The assessment engaged 47 parents or guardians, with the majority from Barangay 3, aged 21–30 years old, predominantly male, and mostly unemployed.
Most respondents had one or two children aged 2–15 years and were primarily interested in improving their children’s literacy and numeracy skills through the project. The child beneficiaries, mostly aged 4–5 and slightly more female than male, showed notable improvements in literacy and numeracy after the intervention.
For Kinder 1, average literacy scores rose by 10%, while numeracy scores improved by 17%. Kinder 2 learners also showed gains, with literacy scores increasing by 7% and numeracy by 14%.
Parents recognized the project’s value, citing high expectations for their children's learning outcomes, especially in combined literacy and numeracy.
The assessment demonstrates the project’s positive impact, particularly in foundational learning skills, and highlights the importance of continued parental engagement and tailored educational support.
