Member Clearances

PA's Child Protective Services Law (CPSL) requires all individuals above the age of 18 to obtain clearances prior to having direct contact with children.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have questions or issues, please contact either the state agency responsible for the clearance, your chain of command, other members who have completed their clearances, or the PA Wing Director of Personnel (see PA Wing Staff Directory). Please DO NOT contact PA Wing Headquarters.

All clearances are valid for five (5) years from their issue date.

Adult Members: Are required to obtain their clearances during the application process and renew every five (5) years afterwards.

Cadet Members: Are required to obtain their clearances prior to their 18th birthday (can start the process as their birthday approaches).
