"My first encounter with glass transformed my life. Since I was introduced to it at Palo Alto High School in 2011, I have taken every possible opportunity to be in a glass studio. Since then I have worked as an apprentice for many Bay Area artists and international glass masters in Sweden, Denmark, Venice & Estonia. Glass is unlike any other material. Its transparency allows the patterns to go beyond what is on the surface. The process of making glass is alive - there is a sort of dance between the maker and the material. I want each piece to maintain its own dynamic feeling that I experience while making it."
