These primary and secondary sources are selected to add vibrancy, cover topics not otherwise discussed, and expose students to a range of historical arguments and methodology. The ability to read and analyze works from historians crucial to success on the AP exam and in future collegiate work.
These readings are compiled from historical work completed over the last century. Keeping that in mind, some terms used or viewpoints expressed may have been acceptable at the time the text was written but may be considered objectionable today.
