Individual Therapy with Vivian Hodges, LICSW-S
A safe space to process, heal, and grow
A safe space to process, heal, and grow
Individual therapy is a collaborative and supportive experience designed to help you process challenges, explore your emotions, and move toward healing. Whether you're navigating a recent loss, relationship issues, work stress, life transitions, or healing from past trauma, therapy can help you organize your thoughts and find inner peace.
Our work together begins with an initial session to understand your reason for seeking therapy, explore your background, and set meaningful goals. This process helps us determine the best structure and frequency of your sessions.
My approach is rooted in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel empowered and supported. Using a person-centered lens and trauma - informed cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), I'll provide tools to help reduce negative thinking, build resilience, and increase self-awareness. Psychoeducation will also support your understand of current stressors and how to manage them effectively.
Together, we'll work toward building clarity, confidence, and emotional well-being - at your pace, on your terms
Supporting children and families through life's challenges with care and guidance
In addition to individual therapy for adults and college students, I offer therapy for children and adolescents (ages 5-17) and their families. youth can experience a variety of mental health challenges, such as school stress, emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, social difficulties, and trauma. Therapy provides a safe space for them to express their feelings and develop healthy coping strategies.
Just like with individual therapy, the first step in family therapy is an initial session to discuss your child's needs and therapeutic goals. This helps us create a plan for how often we should meet and what you and your child hope to achieve through therapy.
My goal is to work closely with both you as the parent and your child to improve family dynamics and support each other's growth. Family therapy is a flexible process and can look different for every family. Some children may want their parents involved in therapy right away, while others may prefer to work on skills independently before bringing the family together. Your child's privacy is respected, unless there are concerns about safety or self-harm, in which case you will be immediately notified.
Parents are always kept informed about the general progress of therapy and the skills being developed, while respecting the child's privacy. Together, we'll create a healing path for your child and family.
