• What is the student to teacher ratio?
o We will not exceed a 10/1 ratio.
• Is this a virtual school or where is it located?
o Pathfinder Institute is an in-person facility, located in Jackson Co. WV
• What ages do you serve?
o We are a K-12 institution, with the emphasis of career building.
• What is the Hope Scholarship?
o The Hope Scholarship is the state’s education savings account (ESA) program that gives parents the opportunity to build an individual learning experience that works best for their child.
• What is the annual tuition cost?
o Pathfinder Institute is trying to make tuition affordable for all. 2024/25 academic year is $5,000, there will be fundraising, scholarships opportunities, as well as payment arrangements. This cost is all inclusive (books, subscriptions, hands on tools, etc)
• What is a Micro School?
o Micro Schools are small one campus locations that uniquely use strategies of working together and group learning as well as individual progress. At Pathfinder Institute, we will be utilizing a variety of learning styles, such as, hands on, group learning, critical thinking and strategies, online self-paced adapted learning.
• What kind of curriculum will be used?
o We will be using self-paced curriculum with daily/weekly progress reports for Math and English. For science and history, we will utilize regular group-based sessions.
• Can my child take a single class?
o Pathfinder Institute will not exceed our class size limit, however if we have an opening, we will provide a per class cost list as we encourage any an all homeschoolers to join us if they are interested in a specific class. However if there is enough of a demand, additional classes/times may be added as needed.

The goal at Pathfinder Institute is to help your child build confidence and understanding and become a successful adult. We will be working with the children to ensure they have the essential skills for a career. Whether they choose a 2/4-year college or beyond, or a professional trade skill, their success is our priority.
