At Pathfinder Institute, our goal is to focus on the uniqueness of every student’s individual learning style, ensuring their future success in a career that they love.
When our founder Kala Dyck had her first child, she did not see great options for her daughter’s future education. In 2017 Kala began homeschooling in the state of West Virginia. Later, she explored the Christian school opportunities in the community and found that, even while teaching at Christian schools, unfortunately, the fit was not exceptional.
When Kala decided to return to homeschooling, there were several parents that reached out for something complete and more inclusive in all learning styles. After extensive research, Pathfinder Institute was created. A place where children can learn in a style that is conducive to their preferences, A place of teamwork and camaraderie where positive influences flourish.
It is therefore our mission at Pathfinder Institute, to ensure every child is treated with love and encouraged to flourish to achieve their individual goals. Emphasizing in discipline and education for a successful start into adulthood.
We are committed to driving education into the hearts of all children, by providing different learning experiences and electives. We have chosen to be non-profit to ensure the community gets the best of all educational opportunities. We are different because we do not embrace a “one size fits all” approach.
