This is to notify you that the first session of the Board of Examiners will be held on Saturday, February 25,
2024. The Ministerial Institute sessions will be held on the following Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Central Time, at St James AME Church, Marianna Florida, Rev. Ronald D. Mizer, Pastor. (Breakfast begins
at 8:00, classes begin at 9:00.)

Tuition Costs (Choose ONE category below):
A. $200 per student (those required to attend Institute classes)
B. $100 per student (those who are enrolled in at least 6 hours in an ATS accredited seminary but have
not completed 4th Year and dismissed from Institute Classes)
C. Students who have completed 4th year studies who are awaiting ordination as an Elder DO NOT have
to pay tuition.
D. Registration for Lay persons or persons not seeking ordination is $50.
All tuition and fees are due to the Board Treasurer on March 2, 2024.
There will be no partial payment plans.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING REGARDING THE REQUIREMENTS OF RESPECTIVE STUDENT
CATEGORIES AND RESPOND ACCORDINGLY.
A. Students in all classes (Admissions through Fourth Year) who are NOT enrolled in an Association of
Theological Schools (ATS) accredited seminary (at least 6 credit hours) are expected to attend classes with the
Board of Examiners on the following dates: March 2-July 13, 2024, Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Eastern
Time).
B. Students enrolled in an ATS accredited seminary (at least 6 credit hours) must provide documentation
of enrollment for the Spring 2024 semester by submitting an unofficial transcript and a copy of their Spring 2024
schedule. Students who have graduated from an ATS accredited seminary must present an official transcript
documenting the conferral of their respective degrees. All seminarians must be prepared to be present for
interviews (upon the Board’s request) on August 10, 2024. You will be notified if you need to be present.

C. Students ordained deacon who have completed seminary are strongly encouraged to attend 3rd-4th
year Institute Classes, as these classes focus on practical and theological applications in the process of the AME
Church (Florida Conference), much of which is not covered in seminary. Tuition rate for these students is still
$100.
D. Students who have been granted a Certificate of Completion, completed Admissions through Fourth
Year classes and/or have graduated from an ATS accredited seminary must still submit an updated Candidates’
Status Form, and should be prepared to be present for interviews (upon the Board’s request) on August 10,
2024. You will be notified if you need to be present.
ALL students must attend the Florida Annual Conference September 13-15, 2024, location TBA.
