Newsela.com provides current events and news articles for all age levels. It includes trending topics here in the U.S. as well as the world. It also allows the reading level for each article to be adjusted giving children of all reading abilities to engage in interesting current topics.
hmhco.com can be used to login to your child's Into Math, Into Reading, as well as both math and reading Waggle sites. This link is crutial to both the math and reading programs and will be used often throughout the year.
multiplication.com has a variety of fun games that can be used to practice addition, subraction, multiplication, and division facts.
Prodigy Math is another fun website where kids can use a videogame setting to work on math skills and complete missions. It has been a big hit with students for a few years now.
