Communication Folders
Your child will be given a communication folder on the first day of school. Please check this folder DAILY for important reminders, notes, and projects your child completes during the school day. On the front of your child's folder, there will be a monthly behavior chart that will give you a quick glimpse on how their day went!
Notes
If you have a note about an absence or change in dismissal, please send them in your child's communication folder to school. We check folders every morning and send all notes and communication to the office prior to taking attendance for the day.
Meals
All meals are provided by the school district. This includes breakfast, lunch, and a snack. If your child has a food-related allergy, please let the nurse and your child's teacher know so that appropriate substitutions can be made.
Spare Clothes
Spills and accidents happen and we would like to be prepared when and if they do! Please make sure your child has a full spare change of clothes in their backpacks at all times. This should included a shirt, pants, socks, and underwear.
Rest Time
Pre-K Counts requires all full-day classrooms to have a daily rest time. During this time, children are allowed to have a small blanket with them. Each child is provided a plastic foam rest mat to use.
Birthdays
If you would like your child to bring in a treat for their birthday, please just let the teacher know ahead of time so that snack can be planned accordingly.
Volunteers
Parent volunteers are huge in helping the classroom succeed, especially during holidays and special events! If you have all of your clearances on file with the main office, let your child's teacher know!
