Increased globalism helped increase growth in the American economy. The increase in the quantity and quality of goods, along with lower prices and increased investments, helped to raise the average American’s standard of living. 

The globalized economy has brought labor rights in less developed countries under scrutiny. 

Multinational corporations often move their production to countries where labor is less expensive, environmental regulations are more lax, and taxes are lower.

Military spending during the Global War on Terror increased federal debt.
