We are already 1/6th through the school year and to ensure credit is not lost we want to make sure to communicate how absences impact credits. The state requires students to be present 90% of the semester in order to be granted credit. That number equates to approximately 9 absences per semester before credits will be denied.
We can use "make up time" to make up any absences after 9 absences to ensure credit is not lost. This time must be accrued outside of the school day during tutorials and MavAcademy. MavTime does not count towards make up time.
All absence notes and make up time must be submitted by December 5th.

We are currently working with Pasadena ISD to raise money for this year’s Walk for Sight! PMHS as a team is currently behind and is not in one of the top spots. We usually are the top High School donor in the district. Let's represent PMHS and try to overtake the other High Schools.

Online registration is easy – it only takes a few minutes. Walk for Sight is an important event for our students, and I hope you can join me in helping students get glasses that they might not otherwise buy on their own. Please join us on September 29th for our open house. We will begin in the dining hall and then release to classes!
