Entry events should engage and intrigue, and provoke students to want to know more. The entry event should invoke student questions. The goal is to grab the hearts and minds of your students.
Entry events might be a field trip, a guest speaker, a food truck, a video, a simulation or a piece of real or mock correspondence.

An entry event needs to provide 'breadcrumbs' for student that guide the students to their Need to Knows.
Elements of an entry event:
Sparks the interest of the students.
Outlines the challenging inquiry.
May introduce the final product or benchmark task.
