In order to be well organised and create an event that runs smoothly, a timeline of tasks is set by the management team or committee. This timeline of important steps needs to be set in order of priority to allow more time to be spent on the important tasks and less time on minor or insignificant tasks. Time management is crucial to the success of all events and needs to be set with some flexibility to cater for unforeseen setbacks.

b) Pretend you are a mother at their child's 8th birthday party. Use the talents and expertise of the students in our PASS class to delegate roles in order to help your event run smoothly.
E.g Which student in our class can cook? delegate them a role to assist in the food preparations.
c) Write down some phrases to delegate roles to other people without sounding bossy, over powering, inconsiderate?
"I have delegated you as the commentor, as I know you are great at projecting your voice over a large crowd"
"I have asked you to be in charge arranging the heats for the sprinting races as I know you are very organised"
3. You will attend to two different cognitive tasks.
Task 1: For the first task, grab a sheet of paper and a pen. You will be writing a story. Your story can be about anything: How your day was, “The Three Little Pigs,” anything. Allow students to set up materials.
Task 2: While performing task one, you will have another simple task: Count backwards in increments of “1” from 200 to 1. 200, 199, 198. And, do so out loud.
As students are performing this set of tasks, time them to see how much they accomplished in 4 minutes.
At the end of the 4 minutes, jot down what number you ended at and how many words you wrote.
