Authoritarian
This coaching style is best when the players have little knowledge or experience and therefore they cannot contribute to the training session. It is also useful if the players do not have their own self-discipline.

Democratic
Democratic coaching works best when players have some knowledge and experience in a game. They are able to suggest ideas for areas they feel as individual you would like to work on or the team needs to work on and the coach can take their suggestions into consideration.
For example....

Laissez faire
Lassiez Faire is used when you have a team or athlete who are self sufficient. This may be because they are playing more for fun and they have enough experience to lead themselves. They are highly proficient and they are better to train themselves and the coach provides feedback only on request. Eg a professional cricketer who is the best player in the world.
