At Parmiter's, we have a number of expectations that we hold for our students. We have outlined these below.
In lessons
Students will get to lesson on time and line up in a quiet and appropriate manner
Students should bring the correct kit for the activity they are undertaking. Students will need indoor PE kit for their indoor lessons and outdoor PE kit for their outdoor lessons.
Students will change in a calm and orderly manner. As soon as the student is changed, they should leave the changing room.
Students should work with maximum effort in lessons. They should try their hardest and attempt all tasks. Students should ask for help when required.
Students should contribute to class discussion and ensure they are demonstrating their knowledge and understanding.
Students will treat other students and members of staff with respect and good manners.
Students should respect all equipment and facilities at all times. Failure to do so may result in a charge being raised for the replacement of misuse.
For extra curricular
Students who wish to play in our extra curricular teams should attend practice regularly. If for any reason, they are unable to attend, they should personally inform the member of staff who takes that team.
It is a students responsibility to check teamsheets regularly. They should note the details for that game and relay that information to their parents/carers.
If a student is unable to play in a school event or fixture, students should inform the member of staff who takes that team at the earliest opportunity. It is not acceptable to tell the team captain.
Students are expected to participate with a high regard of competitiveness and pride. Whilst we advocate competitiveness, we will not accept inappropriate or unsportsmanlike behaviour. This will result in a student being banned from representing the school.
We believe that school matches and events should take priority over club training and matches. We expect students to commit to the school teams at all times.
Students are expected to turn up to practices and matches on time and with a positive attitude.
In and around the department
Students should communicate with their peers and members of staff with respect and good manners.
Students should not be using any areas without permission or a valid reason.
Students are not allowed to use the vending machines in the sports centre until the buses have left the school premises. This includes anytime during the school day.
Students should respect the facilities at all time.
