The Tale of Despereaux is a story about a mouse's journey to save his best friend and to be accepted by society. This mouse needs to go through several stages to save his friend and to be accepted by his own family. He meets new individuals who will help him achieve his goal and individuals who will block his way of reaching that goal.  Will he be brave enough to succeed in saving his friend or will he back out and let his friend die and be a disgrace to society forever?
